Switzerland’s leading electrical company, Jaisli-Xamax AG, has asked Serviceplan Suisse to design and produce a series of TikTok videos that will get young people excited about the world of electrical engineering and its various training occupations.
With 95 trainees at three sites, Jaisli-Xamax is very involved with the youth and its technical apprenticeships. Unfortunately, many school students cannot quite imagine how exciting a job in the electrical sector can be.
To give young people an idea of its training occupations of electrician, substation technician and installation technician, all leading to a Federal Diploma of Vocational Education and Training, Jaisli-Xamax is addressing its target group, aged between 12 and 15, where they spend a lot of their time: on TikTok. The company reaches out to them through entertaining, organic content and challenges. Serviceplan’s content team has produced a series of seven videos that explain electrical topics in a tone matching the channel. The videos were created entirely in house. The Safety Dance turns the rules of occupational safety into a dancing routine; Cable Tug involves a thrilling chase with a cable drum, and the Electric Sound is a Jaisli-Xamax soundtrack made using the tools of the various occupations.
Trainees and employees of Jaisli-Xamax AG played the characters in the clips. The first four videos are already available for viewing on the TikTok channel @jaislixamax.
