Credit Suisse launches the new Viva Debit Mastercard. This card lets you do most of the things you can do with a credit card: easy online shopping, mobile payments, payments abroad. The biggest benefit is that you have full control over spending as money is taken directly from your account, which makes the card particularly interesting for young people.
They can stop borrowing mum’s credit card and use their own card to shop online – something that is not possible with most debit cards. And they don’t need to worry about becoming overdrawn.
To make the advantages of the card desirable to the target group, Serviceplan created a series of campaign motifs based on the theme of the ongoing youth campaign “Go for it”. The ads included things such as subscribing to a streaming service, making payments while travelling, and making online and mobile payments. The offer was made even more attractive with a CHF 50 incentive, which was promoted by encouraging the target group to take someone out to dinner or start their own project using their new card.
Video ads, banners, POS posters and an audio ad on a music streaming platform showed how this useful new product from Credit Suisse helps young people be more independent and go their own way.
